Just dropping by today to mention how much I love this site and their article on Disney World for Couples. I get so tired of hearing about how you should go to Disney World for golf and spas. If I want golf and spas, why the fuck am I going to Disney World? I’m going to WDW because I want to ride fucking rides and inhale pixie dust. Fuck spas and golf.
Good overview article on Disney’s Contemporary Resort. For whatever reason that article directory has really good Disney World articles. They have some particularly good stuff on the resorts and the parties. I think it just got around among the good Disney sites that they could get good backlinks there, I guess.
Most of the time I find it just about impossible to justify paying for Deluxe resort prices when Pop Century is such a worthwhile resort, however I can totally see the appeal of the Contempo. I can’t imagine how awesome it would be to walk to the Magic Kingdom.
Why would I want an artificial bonsai tree? Isn’t the whole point of them that they’re something small that I can grow indoors? Am I not defeating the whole purpose by getting an artificial one? I suppose though that ultimately that criticism can be leveled at all artificial plants.
TouringPlans has some good info on the new stuff at F&W this year. I’m pretty excited about the new booths. I feel like it gets to be a little bigger of a deal every year. I hope that California’s can catch up eventually.
This is actually a really salient point. All the people that are screaming that the stock market is a scam don’t seem to recognize this. Just like the people who all sold when the market cratered in 2008. They all bought at the top and sold at the bottom and will do so again and then scream that it’s a scam.
As everything gets more disconnected workforce management tools are going to become vital. I have a sneaking suspicion that in about 50 years people are going to think of the days when knowledge workers had to go into an office as “quaint.” Figuring out how to give your workforce this freedom and still manage them effectively is going to be pivotal, so any tools that can help with this are ideal.
Epcot is possibly my favorite park, but Epcot Extra Magic Hours are the worst. Test Track and Soarin’ are useless in Extra Magic Hours because you can’t get a Fastpass and they’ll still have crazy lines. If you can’t get on to Spaceship Earth during the day, no amount of Extra Magic is going to help you. World Showcase is cool at night, but I don’t need EMH to take advantage of it. All in all, Epcot EMHs are a dud.
As opposed to counter service, counter dining is going to some of the nice restaurants and just eating at the bar or other counter. It can be a great way to experience one of the restaurants that you can’t get an ADR to. I highly recommend it.
I’ve got two good articles about the mortgage crisis. Both of them are good reads and won’t make you feel any better. Maybe we’re just all doomed?
Disney Loving Moms are the best kind of moms! I’d probably hate Disney if I was a mom. I’ve not seen very many well behaved little ones there.
