petervidani: I’m the only one who noticed that Tumblr’s office is completely under water right now. Interestingly, as Kelly was telling me about her latest wedding plans, she actually noticed water on the ceiling. Apparently she has a leak behind the shower, so I hope the damage isn’t too much. Best wishes to the Tumblr staff for dealing with their “horrific flooding” as...

Disney World for Couples
Just dropping by today to mention how much I love this site and their article on Disney World for Couples. I get so tired of hearing about how you should go to Disney World for golf and spas. If I want golf and spas, why the fuck am I going to Disney World? I’m going to WDW because I want to ride fucking rides and inhale pixie dust. Fuck spas and golf.

skybarn: I’m not going to lie. Yo Gabba Gabba annoys the shit out of me, and I’ve seen it a million times. Maybe that’s why. If they cancel Pixar, I will no longer be able to live. Pixar is the new Disney. I’m not sure what Disney is now.

Good Contemporary Resort Article
disneyzane: Good overview article on Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  For whatever reason that article directory has really good Disney World articles.  They have some particularly good stuff on the resorts and the parties.  I think it just got around among the good Disney sites that they could get good backlinks there, I guess. Most of the time I find it just about impossible to justify paying...

Why would I want an artificial bonsai tree?
Why would I want an artificial bonsai tree? Isn’t the whole point of them that they’re something small that I can grow indoors? Am I not defeating the whole purpose by getting an artificial one? I suppose though that ultimately that criticism can be leveled at all artificial plants.

New Stuff at F&W
TouringPlans has some good info on the new stuff at F&W this year. I’m pretty excited about the new booths. I feel like it gets to be a little bigger of a deal every year. I hope that California’s can catch up eventually.

Stock market investing in a nutshell...
lbrphoto: This is actually a really salient point. All the people that are screaming that the stock market is a scam don’t seem to recognize this. Just like the people who all sold when the market cratered in 2008. They all bought at the top and sold at the bottom and will do so again and then scream that it’s a scam.

Workforce Management Tools
As everything gets more disconnected workforce management tools are going to become vital. I have a sneaking suspicion that in about 50 years people are going to think of the days when knowledge workers had to go into an office as “quaint.” Figuring out how to give your workforce this freedom and still manage them effectively is going to be pivotal, so any tools that can help with...

Epcot Extra Magic Hours
Epcot is possibly my favorite park, but Epcot Extra Magic Hours are the worst. Test Track and Soarin’ are useless in Extra Magic Hours because you can’t get a Fastpass and they’ll still have crazy lines. If you can’t get on to Spaceship Earth during the day, no amount of Extra Magic is going to help you. World Showcase is cool at night, but I don’t need EMH to take...

Counter Dining
As opposed to counter service, counter dining is going to some of the nice restaurants and just eating at the bar or other counter. It can be a great way to experience one of the restaurants that you can’t get an ADR to. I highly recommend it.

Two Good Mortgage Crisis Articles
I’ve got two good articles about the mortgage crisis. Both of them are good reads and won’t make you feel any better. Maybe we’re just all doomed?

Toy Story Birthday Cakes
Man I was just happy if my birthday cake was chocolate. Look at these Toy Story Birthday Cakes, I think parents these days are driving themselves crazy. Your kids not even going to remember Toy Story the movie, nor the cake. Meanwhile you lost your mind trying to keep up with all this junk. Just give him a cookie and send him out to play in the street.

Disney Lovin' Mom
Disney Loving Moms are the best kind of moms! I’d probably hate Disney if I was a mom. I’ve not seen very many well behaved little ones there.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Primer
disneyzane: Good start on an Animal Kingdom Lodge Primer here.  Has some of the information I mentioned about the Safaris.  Also found a good post on the Gift Shops.  Is anyone going to AKL soon?  I’m really jealous.

Dear Coke Talk: On truth. →
People say I’m a bitch, but I didn’t know that speaking the truth meant bitch. People say that in order to meet guys, I need to be a nicer person; meaning fake, no one is really “nice”. Do I really want a guy that can’t handle the truth? There’s a huge difference between a strong woman who… Always interests me how people who alienate others think it’s “just the way they...

Yummy Recipe
If you’ve never been to Artist Point in Disney World you’re missing out. Very fun place. Probably not in my top 5 for “signature” dining there, but still very good nonetheless. CookieMadness has a recipe today for their Berry Cobbler. They should really call it “blueberry cobbler,” because the rest of the berries are pretty much just garnish. That being...

erockappel: So, I recently directed a comedy video (*cough*PSA*cough*) starring Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green.  The video’s goal is to raise awareness of the giant budget cuts Schwarzenegger wants to impose on California Schools.  Say what you want about the video - you love it, you hate it - that’s not what I’m here to talk about. The real reason I’m posting is to highlight this comment...

Ferris Bueller Ferrari Can Be Yours For $67,000 |... →
popculturebrain: This will look so good in the garage of my Ferris Bueller house, where I can reenact the “turn-back-the-odometer” scene over and over at least once. But I’m going to have to sell my Full House house and my Twin Peaks house in order to afford it. Bah, Cameron would just wreck it.
